  • Pikalt varju jäänud ostjad näitasid eile taas oma nägu, trotsides USA administratsiooni karmimat hoiakut kaubanduspoliitikas ning keskendudes rohkem Trumpi otsusele äratada uuesti ellu kahe vastuolulise nafta torujuhtme ehitus ning sillutada teed infrastruktuuri projektidele lihtsustades lubade saamist ning kiirendades keskkonnanõuete täitmise ülevaatamist. S&P 500 ja Nasdaq rallisid vastavalt 0,7% ja 0,6% uute rekorditeni, Euroopas sulgus Stoxx 600 0,3% plussis.

    Eurotsooni erasektori aktiivsusnäitaja osutus jaanuaris suuresti ootuspäraseks, alanedes -0,1 punkti võrra 54,3 punktile, mis on siiski viimase viie aasta üks kõrgemaid tasemeid ning viitab seetõttu üsna tugeva kasvu jätkumisele esimeses kvartalis. Julgustavalt algas aasta ka Ühendriikide töötleva tööstuse jaoks, mille aktiivsust peegeldav PMI indeks kerkis jaanuaris 0,8 punkti võrra 55,1 punktile, saavutades kõrgeima taseme 2015.a märtsist. Äritingimuste paranemist toetasid nii tootmise kui ka uute tellimuste kasvu kiirenemine, mis muutis ettevõtted optimistlikumaks ka väljavaate suhtes.

    USA olemasolevate majade müük alanes detsembris -2,8% annualiseeritult 5,49 miljonile, mis jäi üsna ootuse lähedale (5,52mln). Müüki hoiavad peamiselt tagasi väga madalad varud, kui müügis olevate eramute arv kukkus detsembris aastaga -10,8% 1,65 miljonile, mis on rekordmadal tase. Kui ajalooliselt hinnatakse jooksva müügimahu pealt varude normaalseks tasemeks 5-6 kuud, siis detsembris oli antud näitaja 3,6 kuud. Madalate varude üheks põhjuseks on seik, et kriisijärgsetel aastatel liikus palju kinnisvara investorite kätte, kes ei soovi vaatamata hinna tõusule elupinda müüa ning eelistab teenida renditulu, mille määrad on samuti drastiliselt tõusnud. Majade ehitajad aga kurdavad juba pikemat aega nii tööjõu kui ka arenduseks sobiva maa vähesust.



    Vaadates otsa tänastele majandusuudistele, siis huvipakkuvamad võiksid olla Prantsusmaa ja Saksamaa ettevõtete jaanuarikuu kindlustunde küsitlused. Ettevõtetest avaldavad täna oma tulemused teiste seas Abbott Labs, Boeing, Freeport-McMoRan, Novartis, eBay, Las Vegas Sands, Qualcomm, Western Digital.

  • Prantsusmaa töötleva tööstuse ettevõtete kindlustunde indeks püsis jaanuaris ootuspäraselt 106 punktil
  • Saksamaa ettevõtete hinnang jooksvatele majandustingimustele paranes jaanuaris 116,7 punktilt 116,9 punktile (oodati 117,0), kuid järgneva kuue kuu osas muututi mõnevõrra skeptilisemaks (vastav indeks alanes 105,5 punktilt 103,2 punktile (oodati 105,8), mille üheks põhjuseks võib olla poliitiline määramatus.
