  • Eilne kauplemispäev USA turgudel algas langusega, kuid paar tundi enne sulgumist tekkis ostusurve, mis viis S&P 500 indeksi 0,9% plussi. Tõus algas pärast Föderaalreservi eelmise istungi protokolli avaldamist, millest selgus, et vaid üks intressimäärasid seadva komitee liige arvas, et USA majandus on liiga nõrk õigustamaks intressimäärade tõstmist. Teised liikmed aga arvasid, et intressimäära tõstmine käesoleval aastal on igati omal kohal. Samas olid komitee liikmed mures inflatsiooni pärast, kartes, et intressitõstmine võib tekitada olukorra, kus hindade tõus jääb liialt alla Fedi soovitud 2%. Fedi eelistatud inflatsioonimõõdik, tarbijakulutuste hinnaindeks on alla 2% piiri püsinud viimased 40 kuud.

    USA aktsiaturgudele on mitu päeva pakkunud tuge ralli toorainete ja energeetikasektori ettevõtete aktsiates. Energeetikasektori ettevõtted on alates 28. septembrist kerkinud 16%. Eile kerkis nafta hind 3,3% ehk $49,45 peale barrelist ning täna hommikul on musta kulla hind veelgi tõusnud, kaubeldes $50,3 tasemel.

    Euroopa aktsiaturud lõpetasid eilse kauplemissessiooni 0,2% kõrgemal. Ka Euroopa Keskpank avaldas eile oma 3. septembri kohtumise protokolli. EKP liikmed rõhutasid valmisolekut suurendada stiimulprogrammide mahtu, et viia inflatsioon soovitud tasemele. Samuti leiti, et euroala majanduslik olukord võrreldes suve algusega oli natuke halvenenud ning volatiilsus finantsturgudel peegeldas suuremat riski tuleviku väljavaate osas. Siiski leiti, et liiga vara on veel öelda, kas kõigel sellel on mingit mõju pikaajalisele majanduskasvule ja inflatsioonile.

  • USA impordihinnad alanesid septembris võrreldes augustiga 0,1%, olles augustis kahanenud 1,6%. Ilma kütuseimporti arvestamata kahanesid impordikaupade hinnad 0,3%. Üldnumbrit ei suutnud plussi viia ka 1,4%-line imporditud kütusehindade tõus (augustis langes imporditud kütuse hind 11,1% ning juulis 6,4%). Ekspordihinnad kahanesid septembris 0,7%, olles eelneval kuul langenud 1,4%. Põllumajandustoodete hindadega arvestamata langesid eksporditoodete hinnad 0,6%.
