-- Julius Caesar
The major indices have been up three days in a row, the DJIA is at its highest point in five years, the S&P 500 is on the verge of a breakout to the same levels, the Nasdaq was the leader yesterday as technical stocks showed relative strength, oil and gas prices have pulled back and Ben Bernanke has assured us that the Fed is going to look at incoming economic data before making further decisions.Should we be worried?
If you have money in the stock market it is foolish to not always be at least a little worried. The possibility of negative surprises always exists and we can never be completely safe unless we simply don't invest at all; a little worry comes with the investing process no matter what. But the more important question is to what degree do we let our worries impact the actions we take. Do we sell positions and raise cash when the action is positive and there is no real evidence of problems? Should we listening to that little voice in the back of our heads that tells us that we better be careful because the Market Beast is going to bite us simply because our luck has be too good recently?
Like so many other things in the market, the key to success is taking a balanced approach. An easy mistake to make is to let your worries supercede your money management process. If you have a system that not only takes you out of losers but also triggers some profit taking when you have large gains, you need not focus as much on general feelings of worry. Let your disciplined approach make the calls for you to some degree.

Meeldetuletuseks, et täna on optsioonireede ning esmaspäeval 20. veebruaril USA turgudel kauplemist ei toimu, USA-s tähistatakse Presidentide päeva.
-
Eelmisel optsioonireedel oli äge ralli allapoole. Täna on kuidagi vaikne või on see vaikus enne tormi?

Pikk nädalavahetus USA-s tulemas ning seega ehk ootaks üsna tagasihoidlikku optsioonireedet.
