  • Lühiajaliselt ülemüüdud sentiment aktsiaturgudel lõi hea pinnase Kreekaga seotud spekulatsioonide toel suuremaks ülespoole liikumiseks, kui Euroopas sulgus Stoxx 600 indeks 1,8% kõrgemal ja Ühendriikides pani S&P 500 päevale punkti 1,2% tõusuga. Seejuures ei morjendanud investoreid isegi võlakirjade tulususte edasine tõus, mis võib näidata, et sisimas kõrgemate intressimäärade pärast väga ei muretsetagi, kui majandusstabiilsust ähvardavaid riskifaktoreid valemist eemaldada.

    Brüsselis kohtunud Saksamaa, Prantsusmaa ja Kreeka juhid ei avanud oma vestluse täpsemaid detaile, nentides vaid kokkuvõttes, et üksmeelselt nõustuti vajaduses intensiivistada erimeelsuste ületamiseks läbirääkimiste protsessi. Elevust tekitas Bloombergi uudis, milles väideti kahele Saksamaa valitsuse ametnikule tuginedes, et Kreekale finantsabi jagamiseks võib Saksamaa rahulduda ka riigi selge pühendumusega viia reformikava ellu järkjärgult, mis tõele vastates märgiks pehmemat seisukohta.

    Eraldiseisvalt langetas Standard & Poor’s pärast USA börside sulgumist Kreeka krediidireitingu CCC+ pealt CCC peale ning säilitas negatiivse väljavaate. Peamise põhjusena toodi välja IMFi ees võlakohustuse edasilükkamist, mis reitinguagentuuri sõnul näitab seda, et riik hindab võla teenindamise kõrval tähtsamaks pensionite maksmist ja muid siseriiklikke kulutusi.

    USA valitsuse eelarve puudujääk osutus mais oodatust väiksemaks, ulatudes -97 miljardi dollari asemel -82 miljardi dollarini. Ehkki läinud aasta oktoobris alanud fiskaalaastal on USA valitsuse kulud siiani kasvanud aasta varasema perioodiga võrreldes 6%, on maksutulude 9% kasv aidanud vähendada viimase 12 kuu puudujääki 412 miljardi dollarini, mis on märksa parem aastatagusest 491 miljardist dollarist ja madalaim 12 kuu näitaja alates 2008.a augustist.


    Tänase börsipäeva tähtsamatest majandusuudistest väärivad suurimat tähelepanu USA maikuu jaemüük ning möödunud nädala esmased töötu abiraha taotlused.

  • Hiina maikuu jaemüük kasvas YoY ootuspärased 10,1% ja tööstustoodangu kasv kiirenes 5,9% pealt 6,1% peale, mis oli mõnevõrra parem kui prognoositud 6,0%
