  • Reede hilisõhtul Pariisis aset leidnud terrorirünnak on olnud peamiseks kõneaineks üle terve maailma, raputades kindlustunnet nädalavahetusel nii Lähis-Ida börsidel kui ka täna hommikul Aasias. Nädal kujunes finantsturgude jaoks juba enne seda üsna keeruliseks, kui Ühendriikides langes S&P 500 -3,6%, Euroopas kaotas Stoxx 600 -2,7% ning nafta -8% kukkumine hoidis energiasektorit surve all.



    Väga tugeva oktoobri taustal pole siiski imekspandav, et üleostetud aktsiaturgudel võetakse kasumit, eriti kuna juhtivaks teguriks oli Ühendriikides edasi lükkunud intressimäära kergitamise ootus, mida prognoositust palju paremaks osutunud oktoobrikuu tööturu raport murdis. Macy’se ning Nordstromi pettumustvalmistavad numbrid ning lisaks konsensusele alla jäänud USA oktoobrikuu jaemüük lisasid samuti õli tulle, kuid nüüd ollakse üsna lähedal juba ülemüüdud tingimustele, mis võib veel mõne müügipäeva järel lühiajalist leevendust pakkuda.

    Tõenäoliselt jääb Pariisi terrorirünnak juhtima lähiajal turuosaliste meelestatust, seda enam et majandusuudiste valik on täna üsna tagasihoidlik. Mitmete Euroopa Keskpanga liikmete esinemised võivad heita valgust valmisolekule detsembri istungil deposiidi intressimäära langetada ning võlakirjade ostuprogrammi suurendada.

  • Jaapani sisemajanduse kogutoodang kahanes kolmandas kvartalis annualiseeritult -0,8% (Q2 -0,7%), mis olin nõrgem kui oodatud -0,2%, kuid detailsem vaade näitab, et peamiseks negatiivseks mõjutajaks oli muutus varudes. Majandusest 60% moodustav eratarbimine kasvas QoQ 0,5% vs oodatud 0,4%, millele lisaks revideeriti teise kvartali -0,7% langus -0,6% peale. Ettevõtted jäävad investeeringute tegemisel endiselt tagasihoidlikuks, vhendades kapitalikulutusi QoQ -1,3% pärast -1,2% langust teises kvartalis (oodati -0,5%).
  • Kuigi Mario Draghi sõnul on tuuminflatsiooni trend eurotsoonis nõrgenenud, siis tegelikud numbrid seda hetkel ei peegelda. Eurotsooni oktoobri inflatsioon (autosid ja kütust arvestamata) revideeriti 0,1pp võrra kõrgemale 1,1% peale, mis on kõrgeim alates 2013.a ning oktoobri algusest on ülespoole liikunud ka finantsturgude pikema aja inflatsiooniootused.

    Closed positions in: VIAB (from ~5.6 mln shares)
    Buffett's Berkshire also disclosed a 'new' 325 mln share position in Kraft Heinz (KHC) following the completion of its merger, and a 59 mln share position in AT&T (T) following completion of acquisition of DirecTV.
