  • Aktsiaturud alustasid oktoobrit tagasihoidlike liikumistega, kui Euroopas sulgus Stoxx 600 0,1% plussis ning Ühendriikides lõpetas S&P 500 -0,3%ga sessiooni tippude juures. Erandiks osutus Suurbritannia aktsiaturg, kus FTSE 100 indeks rallis 1,2%, saades tuge naela protsendisest langusest dollari vastu, millega vahetuskurss saavutas madalaima taseme rohkem kui 30a jooksul.

    Töötleva tööstuse PMI indeksite järgi jätkas globaalne töötlev tööstus liikumist aeglase käiguga, kuid JPMorgani ja Markiti koostatud indeksi järgi on viimastel kuudel näha olnud siiski teatavaid paranemise märke. Globaalse töötleva tööstuse PMI kerkis septembris 0,2 punkti 51,0 punktile, mis andis kogu kvartali keskmiseks väärtuseks 50,9 punkti – kõrgeim aktiivsus alates 2015.a neljandast kvartalist, kuid madalam küsitluse pikaajalisest keskmisest (51,3 punkti). Uute tellimuste indeksi tõus 0,4 punkti võrra 51,4 punktile viitab lähikuudel majandusliku momentumi jätkumisele ning tööandjad näivad selle baasil olevat ka julgemad inimesi juurde palkama.



    USA annualiseeritud automüük paranes augustikuu 16,91 miljonilt septembris 17,65 miljonile, kuid pärast aastaid väldanud kasvu on müük väikeste kõikumistega liikumas tänavu külgsuunas. Aastatagusega võrreldes kahanes müük -1,7% ning seda vaatamata rekordilistele soodustuspakettidele. WSJ kohaselt kulutasid autotootjad septembris ligi 400 dollarit sõiduki kohta enam kui 2015.a septembris, mis tegi keskmiseks müügistiimuli suuruseks 3888 dollarit auto kohta ehk enim alates 2008.a detsembrist, mil müük kukkus ja GM ja Chrysler vajasid riigi finantsabi.



    Teisipäev saab majandusuudiste osas olema nädala kõige vaiksem päev, kui laual on vaid Hispaania septembri tööturu statistika ja eurotsooni tootjahinnaindeksi augustikuu muutus. Euroopa Keskpanga ökonomisti Peter Praeti ning Richmond FEDi presidendi Jeffrey Lackeri esinemised võivad samuti tähelepanu pälvida.
