  • Presidendivalimistest ja FOMC istungist räsitud investorid pidasid ka eile targemaks kõrvale astuda ning oodata raha paigutamiseks määramatuse vähenemist, mis tingis S&P 500 indeksi -0,7% languse. Tegemist oli seitsmenda järjestikuse languspäevaga – pikim kaotuste seeria viimase viie aasta jooksul, mille tõttu on turg jõudnud lühiajaliselt ülemüüdud tasemetele. Euroopas langesid aktsiad kaheksandat päeva järjest, päädides Stoxx 600 indeksi jaoks -1,1% kukkumisega.

    Viimase paari nädala jooksul taas allapoole liikunud naftale avaldas eile lisasurvet USA toornafta varude raport, mille kohaselt kerkisid varud läinud nädalal oodatud 1,6 miljoni barreli asemel 14,4 miljoni barreli võrra, osutudes suurimaks kasvuks alates 1982.a ning kergitades varude kogumahu 482,6 miljoni barrelini. WTI sulgus -2,9% madalamal 45,3 dollaril.



    Föderaalreservi komitee otsustas jätta intressimäära vahemiku ootuspäraselt 0,25-0,50% peale, kuid kui septembri istungil hääletas kümnest liikmest kolm tõstmise kasuks, siis sel korral hääletas konsensusele vastu kaks liiget. Kuigi otseselt ei lubata detsembris intressimäära tõsta, annab inflatsiooni kiirenemist tõdev retoorika neile selleks aluse.

    Öösel avaldatud Caixini koostatud Hiina teenindussektori PMI näitas sarnast paranemist nagu valitsuse kogutud statistika, kerkides oktoobris 0,4 punkti võrra 52,4 punktile. Kahe indeksi baasil võiks seega arvata, et ärikeskkond on muutunud aktiivsemaks nii suuremate avaliku sektori ettevõtete kui ka väiksemate erafirmade jaoks. Caixini info kohaselt tõusis nii töötleva tööstuse kui ka teenindussektori ühine PMI oktoobris 1,5 punkti võrra 52,9 punktile, saavutades kõrgeima taseme alates 2013.a algusest.



    Tänase börsipäeva keskmes saavad olema Inglise keskpanga istung ning USA teenindussektori oktoobrikuu aktiivsusindeks.

  • Hispaania töötute arv kasvas oktoobris 44,7 tuhande võrra, vähem kui eelnevatel aastatel samal ajal ning vähem kui oodatud 77,0 tuhat,
  • S&P 500 ettevõtete kolmanda kvartali aktsiakasum on näitamas kasvu isegi pärast seda, kui energiasektor on oma tulemused suuresti avaldanud.
  • Itaalia töötuse määr kerkis septembris 0,2pp võrra 11,7%le vs oodatud 11,4%. Noorte tööpuudus kahanes seejuures 38,3% pealt 37,1%le.
  • Suurbritannia teenindussektori aktiivsus osutus oktoobris arvatust kõrgemaks, kui uute tellimuste kiirenenud kasvu kõrval paistab silma ka naela odavnemisest tingitud kulude suurenemine ettevõtete jaoks, mida kantakse edasi tarbijatele
