Eilne päev Ühendriikide aktsiaturgudel oli 5,8 miljardi vahetatud aktsiaga madalaima käibega käesoleval aastal ning S&P 500 indeks lõpetas kauplemissessiooni 0,2% miinuses. Nasdaqi indeks käis päevasiseselt ära uuel rekordil, kuid lõpetas päeva muutumatul tasemel. Tähelepanu keskpunktis olid eelkõige FOMC liikmed, kellest Evans ei välistanud käesoleval aastal nelja intressimäära tõstmist, Harker arvas, et inflatsioon võib kujuneda mõõdukalt kõrgemaks FEDi 2% eesmärgist ning Kashkari sõnul peaks keskpank asetama tulevikus rõhu bilansimahu vähendamisele.
Euroopas langes Stoxx 600 indeks 0,2%. Deutsche Bank teatas eile, et müüb investoritele €8 miljardi väärtuses uusi aktsiaid 35% madalama hinnaga kui eelmise nädala sulgemishind. Ettevõtte aktsia lõpetas päeva 3,7% miinuses.
Sarnaselt eilsega jääb makrokalender täna suhteliselt tühjaks. Avaldamisele tuleb UK veebruari tarbijahinnaindeksi muutus ning USA neljanda kvartali jooksevkonto seis.

UK tarbijahinnaindeks kasvas veebruaris võrreldes aastatusega 2,3%, ületades analüütikute 2,1% suurust ootust. Tegu on kiireima hinnakasvuga alates 2013. aasta septembrist. Peamise panuse andis transpordi komponent seoses kütuse kallinemisega. Veebruariga lõppes ka kolm aastat kestnud toidukaupade hinnalangus, kui viimaste hinnad kerkisid 0,3%.
