  • Ühele leheküljele mahutatud USA maksureformi ettepanekute punktid ühtisid suuresti sellega, mida turg oli varasemalt kuulnud. Puudu oli aga vastus küsimusele, kuidas neid finantseeritakse, sest CRFB (Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget) sõnul võib valitsus 10a jooksul ilma jääda triljonitest dollaritest tuludest. Rahandusministri Steven Mnuchini sõnul aitab plaani finantseerida kiirem majanduskasv, mis ei pruugi kongressis olla lihtsasti müüdav ettepanek. Kogu päeva plusspoolel kaubelnud S&P 500 sulgus lõpuks -0,1% madalamal, Euroopas lõpetas Stoxx 600 0,5% plusspoolel.

Jaapani keskpank jättis 7-2 poolthäältega lühiajalise intressimäära -0,1% peale ning sihib edaspidigi valitsuse 10a võlakirja tulususe hoidmist 0% lähedal. Prognoosides korrigeeriti 2017.a inflatsiooniootust -0,1pp võrra 1,4%le, säilitades 2018.a puhul 1,7% ootuse. Seevastu majanduse osas kergitati SKP 2017.a kasvuootust 0,1pp võrra 1,6%le ning 2018.a oma 0,2pp võrra 1,3%le. Esmakordselt tutvustati 2019.a ootusi, mille kohaselt peaks kapitaliinvesteeringute tsükliline aeglustumine ja müügimaksu tõstmine majanduskasvu langetama 0,7%le, inflatsioon aga kiireneb 1,9%le.

Peamise fookuse all on täna Euroopa Keskpanga istung, mis siiski suuri uudiseid ei tohiks tuua. Tähelepanelikult jälgitakse võimalikku retoorika muutumist ja vihjeid QE programmi tuleviku osas. Majandusnäitajatest selguvad Saksamaa tarbijate maikuu kindlustunde indeks ja aprilli esmane inflatsiooninäit, Ühendriikides avaldatakse märtsi kestuskaupade tellimused, läinud nädala esmased töötu abiraha taotlused ja majade pooleliolevad müügitehingud. Ettevõtetest raporteerivad oma tulemused täna teiste seas American Airlines, Comcast. Dow Chemical, Ford Motor, Nokia, UPS, Alphabet, Amazon, Intel, Microsoft, Starbucks.
