Kreeka kipub juhtima sentimenti Euroopa aktsiaturgudel, kus Stoxx 600 lõpetas -0,9% kaotusega (aprillis keskel saavutatud tipust -7,2%) ning avaldas veidi tugevamat survet ka USA börsil, juhtides S&P 500 -0,7% madalamale. Viimaste uudiste kohaselt ootavad kreeditorid hetkel vastupakkumist Kreekalt, mängides samal ajal järjest rohkem mõttega, et riigi väljumine eurotsoonist poleks suureks probleemiks (Prantsusmaa ja Saksamaa rahandusministrid).
Wall Streeti eeskujul liikusid öösel allapoole ka Aasia aktsiaturud. Hiinas kauples Shanghai Composite -0,8% madalamal, kui sedapuhku ei suutnud isegi nõrgem makro kutsuda esile täiendavat spekulatsiooni rahapoliitika üle. Hiina tarbijahinnaindeksi kasv aeglustus aprilli 1,5% pealt mais 1,2% peale, mis oli aeglaseim tempo alates jaanuarist ning samuti osutus madalamaks analüütikute 1,3% ootusega võrreldes.
Hiina tootjahinnaindeksi langus püsis -4,6% peal, vastupidiselt analüütikute loodetud paranemisele -4,5% peale. Analüütikute sõnul on madala inflatsiooni taga tööstuslik ületootmine, pehmem sisenõudlus ja madalamad toorainete hinnad, mis peaks kutsuma keskpanka rahapoliitikat lõdvemaks muutma, sest madal inflatsioon võib vähendada ettevõtete soovi investeerida ja hoida tagasi tarbijate kulutusi, mis ähvardaks riigi majanduskasvu survestada.

“The NFIB May survey results confirm that the economy is moving ahead, but at an uninspiring pace. Owners do what is necessary, like hiring workers when needed, to keep up with growth mostly powered by an increasing population.” – Bill Dunkelberg, NFIB Chief Economist -
