Kaks päeva rohelist värvi nautinud aktsiaturud võtsid eile suuna taas allapoole, kui S&P 500 indeks libises sessiooni viimaste tundide müügisurve tõttu -1,6% kaotuseni. Euroopas lõpetas Stoxx 600 indeks finantssektori eestvedamisel -0,6% mädamal. Nädalaid kestnud müügisurve on jätnud selge jälje ostjate kindlustundele, kellele on raske näidata hambaid, kui nafta jätkab langust (WTI eile -5,8%) ning majandusuudised tekitavad väljavaate suhtes küsimärke.
Saksamaa ettevõtete küsitluse kohaselt on aasta algus toonud majanduses marginaalseid muutusi, kui jooksva olukorra hinnangut kajastav indeks alanes detsembriga võrreldes vaid 0,3 punkti 112,5 punktile, kuid pilvisemaks on muutunud järgnevate kuude väljavaade. Ootuste indeks langes 104,6 punkti pealt 102,4 punktile (oodati 104,1), jõudes sellega tagasi augusti tasemele.
Järelkauplemise ajal raporteerivad Apple, AT&T.

OPEC otsib koostööd teiste tootjatega, et juhtida nafta hinda taas ülespoole ning aidata vältida kaugemas tulevikus pakkumise šokki.
Opec pleads for Russian alliance to smash oil speculators
Mr al-Badri said the world needs an investment blitz of $10 trillion to replace depleting oil fields and to meet extra demand of 17m barrels per day (b/d) by 2040, yet projects are being shelved at an alarming rate. A study by IHS found that investment for the years from 2015 to 2020 has been slashed by $1.8 trillion, compared to what was planned in 2014.
Mr al-Badri warned that the current glut is setting the stage for a future supply shock, with prices lurching from one extreme to another in a deranged market that is in the interests of nobody but speculators. "It is vital that the market addresses the stock overhang,” he said. -

USA teenindussektori jaoks algas aasta aktiivsuse aeglustumisega madalaimale tasemele 2014.a detsembrist
USD Markit US Services PMI (JAN P): 53.7 actual vs 54.0 estimate, 54.3 prior.
“The data are by no means disastrous, signalling a 1.5% annualised rate of economic growth at the start of the year, but the drop in business confidence to one of its lowest levels for over five years suggests that firms are bracing themselves for worse to come. Worries about financial market volatility, the impact of slower growth overseas, a downturn in the energy sector and uncertainty about higher interest rates all took their toll and set the scene for further weakness in coming months.” -
USA tarbijaid pole finantsturgude volatiilsus mõjutanud
