Ettevõtete majandustulemused ning USA maksureformi osas uuesti kasvanud lootus aitasid läinud nädalal aktsiaturgudel võita osa kaotatud maast tagasi, kuigi teatavat ettevaatlikkust võis reedel Prantsusmaa presidendivalimiste eel siiski täheldada. S&P 500 lõpetas nädala 0,9% plussis, Euroopas jäi Stoxx 600 -0,7% punasesse.
Küsitluste tulemused pidasid seekord paika ning Prantsusmaa presidendivalimiste teise ringi suundusid 23,8% poolthäältega Emmanuel Macron ning 21,5% häältest kogunud Marine Le Pen. Kaks kandidaati alustavad nüüd kahenädalast kampaaniat, kuid kuna küsitluste järgi hinnatakse selles voorus Macroni šanssi oluliselt paremaks, vähenes riigi väljaastumise risk Euroopa Liidust ning turgudel hingati öösel kergendunult, mida näitas euro tugevnemine dollari suhtes 1,3% 1,0866 dollarile ning Euroopa aktsiaindeksite futuuride 2-4% tõus.
Nädal algab mõistagi valimistulemusi seedides, millele lisaks võiksid huvi pakkuda Saksamaa ettevõtete aprilli kindlustunde indeks ning Ühendriikides Dallase töötleva tööstuse aktiivsusindeks. Ettevõtetest avaldavad oma tulemused enne USA turgude avanemist Halliburton, Kimberly-Clark, Philips ning järelkauplemise ajal Alcoa, Barrick Gold, Express Scripts, T-Mobile US, Whirlpool.

Kokkuvõttes kerkis üldkliima indeks 0,6 punkti võrra 112,9 punktile, viidates kiiremale majanduskasvule.
