  • Londoni terrorirünnakute ning Lähis-Ida poliitiliste pingete mõju piirdus finantsturgudel valdavalt turismi- ja energiasektoriga, kui muidu jäid liikumised vaoshoituks. Ühendriikides sulgus S&P 500 indeks -0,1% madalamal ning sarnase kaotusega leppis Euroopas ka Stoxx 600 indeks.

    JPMorgani ja Markiti kohaselt kiirenes kasv globaalses teenindussektoris mais nelja kuu kõrgeimale tasemele, mis aitas tõsta kogu erasektori aktiivsusindeksit 0,1 punkti võrra 53,7 punkti peale. Uute tellimuste kasv oli parim viimase nelja kuu jooksul, samuti kiirenes tööhõive kasv ning ettevõtete optimism järgmise aasta väljavaate osas kerkis nelja kuu kõrgeimale tasemele ehk tagasi üle pikaajalise keskmise.



    Majandusuudistest on täna laual vaid eurotsooni aprilli jaemüük, mis peaks näitama kasvu neljandat kuud järjest. Ühendriikides annab tööturu kohta täiendavat infot JOLTSi aprilli küsitlus.

  • Eurotsooni jaemüük kasvas aprillis MoM 0,1%, mis oli oodatust 0,1pp võrra vähem ning seda ka aeglasemaks revideeritud baasi pealt (märtsi MoM muutus korrigeeriti 0,3% pealt 0,2%le). Mullusega võrreldes püsis jaemüügi kasvu tempo 2,5% peal.
