Euroopas kauples Stoxx 600 suurema osa päevast miinuspoolel, kuid sulgus koos USA turgudega lõpuks 0,1% plussis.

Kui USA töötlev tööstus siples septembris jätkuvates raskustes, mida lisaks varasemalt avaldatud Markiti PMIle ilmestas eile ka Richmondi töötleva tööstuse aktiivsusindeks (-8 punkti vs -11 augustis ning oodatud -2 punkti), siis teenindussektor näitas Markiti küsitluse kohaselt väikest aktiivsuse paranemist, kerkides indeksi näol 0,9 punkti võrra 51,9 punktile (prognoositi 51,2). Tegemist oli küll kõrgeima tasemega alates aprillist, kuid ettevaatavad detailid polnud nõnda julgustavad, kui uute tellimuste pealevool aeglustus nelja kuu madalaimale tasemele ning ettevõtted reageerisid sellele inimeste palkamist aeglustades (tööhõivet kajastav indeks langes 0,8 punkti 51,1 punktile, mis oli madalaim alates 2013.a märtsist).

Mõnevõrra üllatav oli seejuures näha, et USA tarbijate kindlustunde indeks hüppas septembris 2,3 punkti võrra 104,1 punktile (oodati 99,0), saavutades sellega kõrgeima taseme alates 2007.a augustist (vastupidiselt Michigani ülikooli koostatud küsitlusele, kus kindlustunde indeks on langenud alates juunist ning püsis septembris muutumatuna). Tööturgu kirjeldavad komponendid olid mõlemad tugevamad: töökohtade valikut piisavaks hindavate tarbijate osakaal kerkis 26,8 punktilt 27,9 punktile, (kõrgeim alates 2007.a juulist) ning töökohtade kättesaadavust raskeks hindavate tarbijate osakaal langes 22,8 punktilt 21,6 punktile, mis oli madalaim alates 2008.a jaanuarist. Kõrgemast kindlustundest hoolimata jäid inimeste ostuplaanid septembris tagasihoidlikumaks: 11,4% vastajatest ütles, et kavatseb auto soetada (12,3% augustis), 5,1% plaanis osta maja (6,9% augustis) ning 49,2% oli mõttes mõnda suuremat seadet hankida (50,9% augustis).

Tänasest majandusuudiste kalendrist vaatavad vastu Saksamaa, Prantsusmaa ja Itaalia tarbijate värsked kindlustunde indeksid. Ühendriikides jälgitakse augustikuu kestuskaupade tellimusi ning mitmete FEDi ametnike esinemisi, sh Janet Yelleni oma, kes eelmise nädala FOMC otsuse järel tõenäoliselt midagi väga uut turgude jaoks siiski ei paku.

  • Saksamaa tarbijate kindlustunde indeks on oktoobris langemas 0,2 punkti võrra 10,0 punktile (oodati 10,2), millega tehakse tasa septembri hüpe.

*Govt expects 0.8% economic growth in 2016, 1% in 2017: Renzi (both previously 1.2%)
    * Italy debt-to-GDP seen rising to 132.8% in 2016, falling to 132.2% in 2017: Renzi
    * Sees deficit-to-GDP at 2.4% in 2016, 2% in 2017: Renzi
    * “The debt-to-GDP ratio doesn’t go down, I admit it, I had imagined it would go down. This is because of inflation
forecasts which revealed themselves too optimistic”: Padoan
    * “As usual we have been super-cautious because we have gone with numbers which are very cautious, and we will determine, as I believe and hope, whether they will be corrected upwards”
    * Renzi says in reference to budget flexibility that Italy will act “coherently with European rules which we respect even when we don’t agree with them”
    * Italy will invoke European Union flexibility clause for costs related to handling migrants: Renzi
    * Privatizations will go ahead, slowed by mkt conditions: Padoan
  • Kaubavahetus on jäämas juba niigi nõrgaks, kui turgude avamise asemel näib laiemat kõlapinda haaravat protektsionism

Global trade will expand at the slowest pace since the financial crisis this year, the World Trade Organization said, as weakness in key regions and rising protectionism take a toll.
The Geneva-based organization forecasts that trade will expand 1.7 percent in 2016, down from an April estimate of 2.8 percent. It predicts real GDP growth of 2.2 percent, marking the weakest performance since 2009.
Worryingly, the WTO sees a risk that trade won’t pick up next year, cutting its 2017 projection to a range of 1.8 percent to 3.1 percent, down from 3.6 percent previously. It said with increasing wariness of globalization, governments and authorities must do more to support open trading that’s more inclusive.

  • Prantsusmaa tarbijate kindlustunde indeks püsis septembris ootuspäraselt 97 punkti peal
  • Itaalia tarbijate kindlustunde indeks alanes septembris 0,4 punkti võrra 108,7 punktile (oodati 109,0), näidates negatiivset trendi aasta algusest alates
  • Vaatamata üle aasta kestnud varade kokkuostule ning mitmetele laenuprogrammidele, ei näidanud eile avaldatud EKP krediidistatistika midagi muljetavaldavat. Seda peegeldab ka Bloombergi koostatud indikaator, mille kohaselt on hoog raugemas kõigis eurotsooni erasektori laenuturu segmentides.
